Deliver Dynamic, Personalised Content

CA Clarity PPM makes it easy for you to create a work environment in which information is delivered, and actions are taken, in ways that make the most sense for your organisation.

Portal technology gives users a single place to obtain personalised content and a standard, easy-to-use interface and allows administrators and users to create and deploy tailored portals, pages, menus and business objects that adapt the software to your business process, not the other way around.

CA Clarity PPM enables you to:

Create Portlets and Dashboards

Populate portlets with graphs, tables, workflows, best practices, documents and forms -- available in real time without the need to execute and review reports. Examples include:

  • Displaying information graphically in bar, bubble, column, funnel, line, pie and scatter charts.
  • Using Gantt charts and bars to communicate schedule, progress and phase-gate status.
  • Building scorecards by segmenting continuous data into groups and applying red, yellow-green stoplights, unapproved-approved checkmarks and leading-steady-training performance indicators.

Combine chart and table portlets onto personalised pages to convey real-time information.

Personalise the CA Clarity PPM Environment

Easily configure and extend the user interface and navigation features to improve productivity, reduce training and support costs and provide real-time personalised content. Through the point-and-click browser interface, administrators can, for example:

  • Add new pages to the system (choosing what information to display, who has access, and how they can act upon it)
  • Personalise the main menu navigation (in multiple languages)
  • Apply a distinctive design to the user interface.
Tailor Configurations to Your Needs

Configure and extend business objects through the PowerMods framework. Administrators can define and lay out forms with a mix of standard and user-defined fields, specify validation rules and default values, create list views with filters and sorts and establish hyperlinks between objects.

Custom fields created are distributed to all CA Clarity PPM interfaces, including the web-based user interface, the Workbench client application, Microsoft Project, the Process Manager workflow engine, and the CA Clarity PPM XOG (XML Open Gateway) for application integration.
